Dr. Brian K. Reiter
Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Brian Reiter is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine
and the operative and conservative treatments of the knee, shoulder and elbow injuries.
Dr. Brian Reiter is the director of Palm Beach Sports
Medicine, LLC, a specialty within Atlantis Orthopaedics. He has taken
care of professional and collegiate sports teams including the Philadelphia
Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles.
Dr. Reiter performs outpatient minimally invasive
arthroscopic surgery for patients with rotator cuff tears, shoulder dislocations,
labraltears and biceps injuries.
Education and Training
Dr. Reiter received his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed his internship
and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He then completed an additional year of
fellowship training in Sports Medicine at The Rothman Institute of Thomas
Jefferson University in Philadelphia. During this year, he was assistant team physician to the World Series
Champion Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Eagles, and St. Joseph’s University.
Dr. Reiter then returned to Temple University Hospital where for several years he treated
local high-school, college and recreational athletes and was the league physician for the
Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union. His sports-specific training allows him to treat complex injuries of the knee,
shoulder, and elbow. He performs state-of-the-art techniques in ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, and cartilage
regeneration of the knee including autologous chondrocyte implantation. He also performs Arthrosporic labral
and rotator cuff repairs of the shoulder and treats shoulder dislocations and elbow injuries in throwing athletes.
