Timothy Shannon, PT

Tim has been practicing physical therapy for the past 21 years. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University Tim moved to Atlanta and began practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting. While he enjoyed the diverse and fast-paced Atlanta environment he eventually succumbed to the call of sunny south Florida arriving in 2001. Continuing to work primarily in the outpatient orthopaedic arena, he spent 4 years in the home healthcare setting specializing in the care of the acute post-operative orthopaedic patient. With now 17 years of outpatient orthopaedic experience, Tim is well equipped to handle nearly all orthopaedic conditions. Tim enjoys the educational aspect to the job as well, be it supervising student interns or explaining a patient's condition for their better understanding. He also feels patients are more likely to "buy in" to their therapy regimen and comply with any home exercises or activity modifications if they understand the why. Outside of the office Tim enjoys the beach and boating, golfing badly, and spending time with friends and family.
